Approval of September 21st, 2025, HPCA Meeting Minutes: Jim Robey made a motion to approve September 21st, 2025, minutes, John Hentowski seconded. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s Report: Transition
· We have eighty-four (84) members to date to start the 2025 season.
· Pam Woods resigned in October of 2024. She was present to do the final treasurer’s report. The position is in transition until the August 2025 elections. Suzanne Cordus will be an interim bookkeeper, Tim Ziethen and Ann Carlton will be co-financial officers.
· All Financial Accounts were merged into the existing PNC Account. PNC offered a new product (savings) which mirrored our earlier Capitol One 360 product. This product will have a 3.5% variable (adjustable) interest rate until 2029.
· Motion was put before the membership to place monies in the Bob Koch memorial fund into the Shore line stabilization fund. Dawn Bielbert put the motion before the membership, Vickie Galbraith seconded. motion carried.
· Motion was put before the membership to place monies raised by the social committee to be put in the Shore line Stabilization fund. Denis Fry put the motion to the membership, Vickie Galbraith seconded, motion carried.
Les Carlton made a motion to approve the Treasurer’s report, Jim Robey seconded, motion carried.
Website Update:
Web site is live…. www.hackspoint.org .......Minutes will be posted on the website starting with September of 2024 once we have memberships approval of minutes. Children’s faces will be blurred on the website when lacking written parental approval.

Social Committee Update:
Breakdown of Winter and Fall activities: Halloween Event, Christmas event canceled, Pancake breakfast, Chili Cook off, Easter Egg Hunt. $1026 dollars was deposited, $860 from winter events and $166 from Easter Event.
Upcoming Activities:
May 31st Community Yard Sale,
June Pancake Breakfast 9am to 12 am,
Independence Day 5/5, Basket Raffle donations should not exceed $100 dollars, we will be aiming for thirty (30) baskets.
August will be an Ice Cream Social also planned for August and September will be a Resin Glass night. October, Halloween on the green.
Also discussed getting information to all residents, possibilities are, monthly email listing social activities. Update email subject heading, website calendar.
Discussed Quarterly mailing of a newsletter, labor intensive and costly, discussion tabled.
Discussed distribution of Spring Newsletter.
Garden Committee Update: new plants.
Board Walk Committee Update: 423 boards need replacement; Les Carlton will be spearheading. Les and Ann prepared the beach for the season, looks great!
Swim area and swim platform pilings in need of repairs, contacted B & B Piling.
Directory update: was completed by Connie Nadeau and given to the Board. President (Tim) pulled County Properties records for comparison and should be printed soon.
Discussion took place concerning the creation of a Shoreline Stabilization fund raising committee.
Current Ongoing Business:
Community Parkland Maintenance
· Grass cutting every 2 weeks.
· Beach area hill planting to reduce the need for grass cutting and stabilization of soil.
· Tree planting is needed to replace trees removed unless the tree is dead. If trees die the area will need to be stabilized with natural vegetation. Diseased or damaged trees will need to be replaced.
· New signage, for beach and boardwalk area,
· Slippery when wet (signage on stairs)
· No lifeguard on duty (beach area)
· Beach parking, signage, and placard
· We are In need of permit parking placards, discussed the possible use of bumper stickers, no dumping signs and caution signs by Bluff.
· Discussed adding to park sign 15-to-30-minute limits to Parking sign at beach parking.
· Reminder to pack in and pack out.
· Little beach
o needs No Lifeguard on duty signage.
o Has trash can for dog waste.
o Bench
· Mosquito spraying will begin shortly, it will take place at night, schedule will be posted asap.
New Business
· Hot Water heater will need a replacement.
· UV Water Filter in the ceiling needs replacing.
· Discussion ensued concerning prompt results of water testing for the beach.
o County tests take 6 weeks to complete and get results, residents would prefer sooner.
o River Keepers, a water testing company, can have the results done in 24 hours. We can send the sample to them on Thursday and get the results in time for the weekend. The cost for 15 weeks of testing is Seven Hundred Dollars, (&700.00) The results would be posted on their website within 24 hours. We can choose to send an email when the results are negative and or red flag the beach.
o A motion was put before the membership to spend the Seven Hundred Dollars ($700.00) for the 15 weeks of testing by Barbara Cassidy and seconded by Ron Beilert. Motion carried.
· Spring Clean up Day will be May 17th after the meeting. The Social Committee will provide lunch.
